The first step has been taken: AI for SMEs in the Lower Rhine Region

With around 100 participants:innen from the business community, academia, and the regional innovation ecosystem, the “AI for SMEs in the Lower Rhine Region” project has officially launched. It quickly became clear that there is enormous interest in practical AI solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. “The demand is there, and it’s greater than we expected,” said project manager Helen Dutzi (Duisburg Business & Innovation GmbH), summarizing the results of the event.

Following the welcome talk by Dennis Fassbender (ALFA-ROTEC GmbH) and Helen Dutzi (DBI), the discussion got underway right away. The in-depth discussions centered on questions such as “How can companies make effective use of AI?”, “What challenges exist?”, and “How can AI be successfully integrated into everyday work?”

The interactive formats, open discussions, and direct exchange between companies and AI experts:innen paid off and were entirely in line with the project’s goals: making AI accessible, providing guidance, and supporting companies as they take their next steps.

And that was just the beginning: On July 9, we’ll continue with the next event, “Business Over Breakfast – AI Café”!
