Citymanagement & QuartiersentwicklungEvent Recap

The inner harbor meets the city center—this bridge was built thanks to a new format from DBI’s city management team: “Gangwechsel.” The rotation principle with short distances: five culinary stations, five top locations, highly motivated partners:innen, and happy guests. Long tables were set up for dining in the unusual settings of owner-operated retail stores: bread and games from Faktorei 21 at the Harders fashion store, truffle pasta from a Parmesan wheel at HOME in the Roskothen toy store, Thai curry from Samui Thai Kitchen at Glück Hair Salon, Humulupu Gin at Korrekt Streetwear, and for the dessert finale, Omma Paula’s Cake Dream at K54, the café on Kuhlenwall. That was the point of this culinary tour: an innovative initiative to revitalize and enhance the appeal of the city center and the inner harbor. Retail and the restaurant industry have thus rediscovered and complemented each other. A successful premiere—we hope to do it again! A big thank you to all participants and our sponsors: Rheinfelsquelle, Kalt.Weiss.Trocken, Rheingold, and Sinalco.
